COMETS SIGN FORWARD KOLE LIND TO AN AMATEUR TRYOUT CONTRACT

Utica, NY – Utica Comets General Manager Ryan Johnson announced today that the club signed forward Kole Lind to an amateur tryout contract.

Lind has registered 85 points (35-50-85) in 51 games in his third full season with the Kelowna Rockets. His 85 points and 50 assists led the Rockets and rank 10th and 12th respectively among WHL skaters. The 6-1, 178-pound forward recently recorded 38 points (15-23-38) during a 20-game point streak from Dec. 9 to Feb. 2, the fourth longest point streak in the WHL this season. The 19-year-old also had two separate eight-game point streaks earlier this season from Oct. 28 - Dec. 2 with 12 points (4-8-12) and Sept. 22 - Oct. 14 with 17 points (7-10-17). In 204 WHL games over parts of four seasons, Lind has registered 224 points (83-141-224) and 202 penalty minutes.

A native of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, Lind was originally selected by Vancouver in the second round, 33rd overall, at the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
