Tonight’s Game: The Utica Comets battle the Belleville Senators for the second time this week. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.

 

Last Game: Justin Bailey recorded a hat trick as the Utica Comets downed the Lehigh Valley Phantoms 5-2 Friday night at the Adirondack Bank Center to move into first place in the North Division. Reid Boucher and Jonah Gadjovich also scored for Utica. Michael DiPietro made 26 saves in the win.

 

Head-to-Head: This is the third of eight contests between the North Division rivals this season. Utica leads the season series 2-0-0-0 and won the most recent matchup 3-2 Wednesday night. Utica has outscored 7-5 through two games and is 4-2-0-0 in the last five years at home against Belleville.

 

Scouting the Senators: Belleville comes in with a record of 21-13-1-2 and sits in fourth place in the North Division. They most recently beat the Rochester Americans 5-1 last night. Josh Norris leads the active roster with 35 points, followed by Alex Formenton with 28 points. Filip Gustavsson is the top netminder with a record of 9-5-1, a 3.54 goals-against average, and a .884 save percentage.

 

White Hot: Justin Bailey continues to pick up points. Bailey has collected 10 points (7-3-10) in his last eight games and is two assists matching his assist total and one point from tying his point total from last season. The forward has 27 points (16-11-27) in 37 games this season.

 

Surging: Kole Lind’s stellar sophomore season rolls on. Lind is on a three-game point streak, picking up four points (0-4-4). He also has 10 points (3-7-10) in his last 10 games. Overall, Lind has 32 points (10-22-32) in 38 games this year.

 

Slump Buster: Nikolay Goldobin has broken out of his scoreless drought in a big way. After going six games without registering a point, Goldobin has four points (2-2-4) in his last two games. He also has 10 multi-point games this season. Goldobin has 32 points (13-19-32) in 32 games.

 

Under the Radar: Jonah Gadjovich is quietly having a strong season. Gadjovich showed off his power scoring ability last night with another goal scored from within five feet of the net. He also has four points (2-2-4) in his last seven games. The forward has a career-high 11 points (8-3-11) in 23 games
