Tonight’s Game: The Utica Comets battle the Belleville Senators for the second time this week. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
Last Game: Justin Bailey recorded a hat trick as the Utica Comets downed the Lehigh Valley Phantoms 5-2 Friday night at the Adirondack Bank Center to move into first place in the North Division. Reid Boucher and Jonah Gadjovich also scored for Utica. Michael DiPietro made 26 saves in the win.
Head-to-Head: This is the third of eight contests between the North Division rivals this season. Utica leads the season series 2-0-0-0 and won the most recent matchup 3-2 Wednesday night. Utica has outscored 7-5 through two games and is 4-2-0-0 in the last five years at home against Belleville.
Scouting the Senators: Belleville comes in with a record of 21-13-1-2 and sits in fourth place in the North Division. They most recently beat the Rochester Americans 5-1 last night. Under the Radar: Jonah Gadjovich is quietly having a strong season. Gadjovich showed off his power scoring ability last night with another goal scored from within five feet of the net. He also has four points (2-2-4) in his last seven games. The forward has a career-high 11 points (8-3-11) in 23 games
