COMETS FANS ITINERARY FOR OPENING WEEKEND
Oct 15, 2019Utica, N.Y. – The Utica Comets are providing fans with a fun, detailed pregame itinerary so they don't miss a moment of the Home Opener on Wednesday, October 16.
Fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and be in their seats no later than 6:40PM to enjoy the full ceremonies. While the home opener is sold out we encourage fans to check StubHub! for tickets. Limited tickets are still avaialble for Friday and Saturday's games on www.empirestatetix.com.
ITINERARY FOR THE HOME OPENER WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16
7 a.m. – Rise and shine from your summer-long hibernation, Comets fans! IT’S GAME DAY!
9 a.m. (or earlier, don’t be late) – Head to work or school wearing your Comets gear. Tweet us a photo for the chance to win a $1000 shopping spree at the team store.
5:30 p.m. – Doors open at the Adirondack Bank Center. Grab your magnetic schedule, beer, food, and 50/50 tickets! Better yet…grab two beers. Be sure to review the changes to parking around the AUD before you get here!
5:45 p.m. – Get a photo with Audie and make sure to meet the new Sitrin Comettes!
6:25 p.m. – Warmups begin, music gets loud, fans bang on glass.
6:40 p.m. – Be seated! Text or call your friends if they’re late. You don’t want to miss the show!
6:50 p.m. – Watch the season opening video – featuring a familiar voice!
6:55 p.m. – Cheer during player introductions! Welcome back, Comets!
6:58 p.m. – Syracuse Crunch take the ice. Boo loudly. Louder than what you think you’re capable of.
7:00 p.m. – Sing along to The Star-Spangled Banner.
7:05 p.m. – Ceremonial puck drop featuring Congressman Anthony Brindisi, Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon, and Mayor Rob Palmieri.
7:08 p.m. – Puck drops. LET’S GO COMETS! U-TI-CA!
~9:35pm – Head to 72 Tavern and Grill to catch the post-game show with Joe Roberts and co-host Alicia Daddario.
FRIDAY ITINERARY

4:00 p.m. – Gates for Oktoberfest open
4:30 p.m. – Ceremonial Keg Tapping by Utica Mayor Rob Palmieri. Grab a seat at one of the picnic tables and a specialty beer made just for the weekend by the Labatt Brewhouse.
5:25 p.m. – “Hey, that music is kinda catchy. I should go dance.”
5:30 p.m. – Doors open at the Adirondack Bank Center
7 p.m. – Puck drops against the Charlotte Checkers
~9:35pm – Head to 72 Tavern and Grill to catch the post-game show with Joe Roberts and co-host Alicia Daddario. Try a new drink at the bar!
SATURDAY ITINERARY
10 a.m. – Sleep in just a little, but not too late. It’s still game day!
Noon – Plan on competing in our arm-wrestling tournament?! Head to 72 Tavern for prelims and the official weigh-in.
3 p.m. – Oktoberfest opens for day two. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day and we have a lot of great things planned like a stein-holding contest and carnival games in addition to a UCFC player meet and greet and our inflatable rink!
4:15 p.m. – Players will begin to make their way down the red carpet. Get up close for autographs and photos!
5 p.m. – Head to the main stage to watch the finals of the arm wrestling tournament.
6:24 p.m. – Warmups are underway!
7 p.m. – Puck drops at the Adk Bank Center for the third game in four days, with the Rochester Americans in town. Continue your booing for the opposition from the two games before!
~9:35pm – Alicia and Joe are back at 72 Tavern for another post-game show!
11 p.m. – Get to bed early! CCR and Blue Oyster Cult play at the Adirondack Bank Center tomorrow! Original members of the classic band play their final revival tour and it’s a show you won’t want to miss!
