COMETS SIGN FORWARD CAMERON DARCY TO PTO

Utica, NY - Utica Comets General Manager Ryan Johnson has announced that the club has signed forward Cameron Darcy to a professional tryout contract.

Darcy, 23, split the 2016-17 season between the Syracuse Crunch (3-4-7) and the Kalamazoo Wings (5-20-25). The South Boston, MA native has appeared in 110 career AHL games accumulating 19 points (7-12-19) and 58 penalty minutes.

Prior to his professional debut in 2015, Darcy spent two seasons in the QMJHL with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the Sherbrooke Phoenix, where he totaled 141 points (56-85-141) and 99 penalty minutes in 121 games.

The 6-0, 186-pound forward was selected by Tampa Bay in the seventh round, 185th overall, at the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
