On December 1 during their game, the Comets announced the details of their 5 Games of Christmas. In case you missed it, here are all of the exciting events happening the rest of this month!
Wednesday’s game marks the first time that the Comets face off against the Crunch at the Adirondack Bank Center. And for the first game of Christmas, the Comets will offer the ever-popular mystery boxes. For $20, you can test your luck with a mystery white box, containing items ranging from a game used theme jersey to a voucher for a signed stick to a pair of All-Star tickets to the brand new Comets Ugly Sweater themed apparel line. The Comets ugly sweater design on the short-sleeve tee will only be available through mystery boxes. Proceeds from the mystery boxes will benefit the Save of the Day Foundation.
In addition, on Wednesday, the Comes will unveil a ‘Rivalry’ themed long-sleeve black t-shirt, showcasing the five-year record of the Comets versus the Syracuse Crunch. These shirts will be sold for $25 in the team store.
On December 15, for the second day of Christmas, Santa will return to The AUD to take photos with fans. There will be a dedicated photo section near One9Five9 where fans can take free photos that will be available in a Facebook album the following day. In addition, the 50/50 from this game will be carried over to Saturday’s game, awarding one lucky fan with a healthy pay-day.
On December 16, for the third game of Christmas, Comets fans will be able to meet the entire roster at a postgame autograph session immediately following the game against the Rochester Americans. The postgame autograph session will also serve as a fifth anniversary book signing, as this will also be the first time that fans can pick up their preorders or purchase the book to get signed by some of the players featured in it. The postgame autograph session will be in the concourse, and run from approximately 10-10:45 pm. Zetlin’s Lounge and the Horton Room will remain open for the duration of the autograph session. The 50/50 Big Pot Winner will also be drawn at the conclusion of this game.
Earlier this year, the Comets purchased custom cookie cutters in the shape of the shield logo, “U” logo, fifth anniversary logo, and Audie; on the fourth day of Christmas, with every purchase at Sweet Tooth (while supplies last), fans will receive a free sugar cookie in one of the four above shapes.
The fifth and final day of Christmas culminates the promotion with a Comets ugly sweater holiday bar crawl. From 4:30-6, fans with a ticket to the game will gain free early entry into The AUD, where they can travel from Zetlin’s to One9Five9 to the Horton Room to the Irish Pub and enjoy 2-for-1 drink specials. Upon entry, each fan will also receive a punch card; after you receive one punch at each bar, you can enter your card into a drawing to win a 2017 game-used & signed Jordan Subban AHL All-Star Classic jersey. There will also be holiday themed drink samples at Zetlin’s Lounge and the Horton Room. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed (Christmas costumes encouraged), and the Comettes, Audie, and promo girls will be in attendance.
