Comets Drop Preseason Opener in Syracuse

Utica Comets President Robert Esche announced today that all 2016-17 season ticket holders can attend the team’s preseasons contest against the Syracuse Crunch on Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Utica Memorial Auditorium, free of charge.

Season ticket holders can redeem their seats to the first ever Comets preseason game at The AUD by stopping into the Comets Front Office between now and Friday, Sept. 30. All remaining tickets, and unclaimed season tickets, will be sold for $10 to the general public at The AUD’s Box Office, starting on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 10a.m.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be collected by the Save of the Day Foundation list and will be donated to the Kelberman Center. Season ticket holders wishing to make a donation to the Kelberman Center can do so when they pick-up their ticket.

The Rob Esche “Save of the Day” Foundation, Inc. is committed to promoting the needs of youth throughout the Mohawk Valley and offer contributions to other 501c3 organizations that have been authorized by the board of directors to support. The Foundation is devoted to raising funds annually through special events, a partnership with the Utica Comets organization and direct fundraising activities to benefit the Mohawk Valley community.

The Kelberman Center, an affiliate of Upstate Caring Partners, Inc., provides state-of-the-art programs and services for children and adults with ASD and their families. Specialized staffing is highly trained to meet the needs of individuals with ASD and includes psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers and educational and behavior specialists. Their team of professionals addresses the unique needs of both individuals and their families through various programs and services.
