Alex Putelo
Chief Financial Officer, Mohawk Valley Garden
Alex Putelo is the Chief Financial Officer of Mohawk Valley Garden, where he oversees financial strategy, operations, and planning across a growing portfolio of sports, entertainment, and hospitality venues. With more than 25 years of experience in finance, technology, and administration, Alex brings a thoughtful, solutions-driven approach to every facet of MVG’s business.
Prior to joining Mohawk Valley Garden, Alex spent several years at Turning Stone Enterprises managing technology solutions across multiple areas of the organization—including gaming, hospitality, and retail. Before that, he spent 17 years at Barnes & Noble, Inc. in New York City, where he served as Controller, Director of Administration, and IT PMO. He began his career at Temco Service Industries, providing financial and strategic analysis for large-scale facilities maintenance operations and delivering detailed reporting across business units.
Originally from Malverne, NY, Alex attended Lehigh University, where he played Division I football, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Hofstra University. In 2017, he relocated to the Utica area with his family to be closer to relatives and quickly developed a deep appreciation for everything the region has to offer—from its strong sense of community to its quality of life and recreational opportunities. He’s proud to be part of an organization helping to shape the future of the Mohawk Valley through innovation, investment, and regional pride.
