CANUCKS REASSIGN REID BOUCHER TO THE COMETS

Utica, NY - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the Canucks have reassigned forward Reid Boucher to the Utica Comets.

Boucher, 24, leads the Comets in goals (13) and points (25) and is tied for first in assists (12) through 25 games this season. The AHL All-Star also leads the team in shots (88) and is tied for the team lead in power-play goals (five). He has appeared in three games for the Canucks in 2017-18.

In 2016-17, the 5-10, 191-pound forward split the season between Vancouver (5-2-7 in 27 games), Nashville (1-0-1 in three games) and New Jersey (0-2-2 in nine games). A native of East Lansing, Michigan, Boucher has appeared in 194 AHL games (76-59-135).

The 2018 AHL All-Star Classic will be hosted at the newly renovated Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. The two-day event includes the AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday, January 28, followed by the AHL Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Ceremony on Monday, January 29 and the 2018 AHL All-Star Challenge later that evening. The Skills Competition and the All-Star Challenge will take place in downtown Utica; all other events during the All-Star Classic will take place at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York.
