COMETS COLORING CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED

COMETS COLORING CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Dec 5, 2022

The Utica Comets 2022 Coloring Contest has officially wrapped up its eighth year. The annual contest for students in kindergarten through fifth grade saw participation from 20 schools all across the Mohawk Valley. Throughout the years, the goal has remained simple: for local youth to engage with the Comets brand.

The schools participated in the contest to give their students the opportunity to creatively color a Utica Comets picture in his or her own way, showing off their artistic abilities. The winners were chosen by both the Utica Comets players and staff. Prizes include custom team signed jerseys, a Comets’ VIP experiences, player classroom appearances, pizza parties with mascot Naudie, and more! For the grand prize winners, prizes include street hockey equipment for their school, a custom team signed jersey, a Comets premier VIP experience and an appearance at their school by Utica Comets players.

“The Coloring Contest is a great way to get the kids in our community connected to the Comets and a wonderful opportunity to involve the players in the community,” said Samantha Bentley, Save of the Day Foundation Director.

The Save of the Day Foundation began with a focus on education and with the vision that nothing is more vital to a child’s success than the fundamentals learned in the classroom. Save of the Day supports organizations that focus on formal K-12 education programs that innovate and motivate children to stay in school, do well academically and encourage higher education. Understanding the importance of a safe learning environment, the Foundation supports a range of opportunities for youth to develop their own special talents.
