This year’s Veterans Day Game presenting partner, Martin’s Point, offers not-for-profit military health plans throughout the Northeast and currently covers over 16,000 military retirees and active-duty families in the upstate NY region.
Martin’s Point Director of Community Engagement, Russ Phillips, is excited about the opportunity to help create a special event for local military families. “With our growing relationship with the military community in this area, partnering with the Comets is a natural fit,” said Phillips. “Promoting the health and wellness of those who serve our country is core to the Martin’s Point mission, and we were impressed with the Comets’ strong tradition of honoring and supporting local military families through their many initiatives, including Hometown Hero, the Veterans Day Games, and more.”
As part of the partnership, Martin’s Point will be set up in the arena concourse with information about their military health plans, prizes, and giveaways. “Partnering with the Comets for Veterans Day is a great way to honor and meet local Vets and their families,” added Phillips, “and we’re looking forward to the fun!”
Veterans and Active-Duty Military can claim free tickets to the game at uticacomets.com/veterans.
