Matthew LaRochelle

Director of Game Presentation & Partnership Activation

Matthew LaRochelle is in his fourth season with the Utica Comets and Utica City FC as Director of Game Presentation & Partnership Activation. Since joining in September 2023, he has created engaging gameday atmospheres for fans of all ages while leading event presentation efforts for major events at the Adirondack Bank Center, including the 2024 IIHF Women’s World Championships, 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships, 2025 Major Arena Soccer LeagueAll-Star Game, Utica Stampede, and more.

LaRochelle brings more than a decade of experience in sports marketing, communications, and event presentation across the youth, collegiate, and professional levels. Prior to joining the Comets and UCFC, he served as Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement for the University of New Hampshire, supporting the athletics department and its 18 NCAA Division I teams. He has also held roles with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, Metro Conference, United States Premier Hockey League, and Connecticut College.

A native of Manchester, New Hampshire, LaRochelle graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2015 with a B.S. in Sports Management. He earned his MBA from the University of Central Florida in 2016 as part of the DeVos Sport Business Management Program.
