Ryan Humphrey

Director of Ticket Operations

Ryan was born and raised in Marcy, NY. His athletic journey began at a young age, developing a strong passion for sports through years of baseball and running. At Whitesboro High School, he was awarded league all-star team nominations in each of his four years on the varsity cross country team and in two of his three years on the varsity baseball team. Ryan served as a team captain for both teams. He is also the school record holder on Whitesboro’s old 5K course. That early foundation in athletics would set the stage for a lifelong commitment to sports performance, teamwork, and community engagement.

After high school Ryan attended Utica University, where he earned his B.S. in Sports Management and Business Economics. During his time as a Pioneer, he academically made the Dean’s List, played on the baseball team, ran indoor track, and was a member of the school’s Empire 8 Championship winning Cross Country teams in 2018 and 2019. In 2019, Ryan was also honored as the Empire 8 Sportsman of the Year for Cross Country, reflecting his leadership and sportsmanship both on and off the course.

Following graduation, Ryan gained valuable experience in several key roles within the sports industry. In 2019, Ryan joined the Cooperstown All-Star Village, one of the nation’s premier youth baseball destinations. As a Golf Club Technician at Dick’s Sporting Goods, he developed his customer engagement and equipment knowledge for the game of golf, working closely with athletes and sports enthusiasts. His time as a Golf Assistant at Turning Stone Resort and Casino deepened his understanding of golf operations and guest service at one of New York’s premier resort destinations. Ryan also served as an In-Game Host for Utica University Hockey, where his energy and connection with fans enhanced the game-day atmosphere at the Adirondack Bank Center.

Combining his education, athletic background, and hands-on experience, Ryan brings a strong passion for sports marketing, community relations, and fan engagement to his role with the Utica Comets.

He continues to reside in Marcy, where he enjoys spending time with his fiancée Courtney, playing video games, and staying active through running and golf.
